This idea that whenever something evil happens someone particular can be blamed and punished for it, in life and in politics, is hopeless.” - Hayao Miyazaki This is the reason that I prefer Studio Ghibli Disney films, to traditional Disney films.  Overall their stories are so much more complex, real, and more beautifully portrayed.  Not to mention that the same tired Princess or Hero story-lines that American Disney regurgitates is boring after a while.  Ghibli gives new lessons for children—RELEVANT lessons, such as courage, ethics, self image, self identity, self worth… etc.
